Greetings!  For this week's Tablescape Thursday, we're stopping by Cornelia's beautiful home in Switzerland.  Recently, Cornelia prepared a wonderful table setting to share with friends and family for Good Friday.

Cornelia said, "I set the table with Spode’s Chinese Rose.  Chinese Rose is the most popular and long-lived of all Spode patterns, and is derived from the Spode INDIA pattern which was copied from early C18th Chinese KANG HSI porcelain by Josiah Spode in 1813-15."

A Ladies Breakfast, Royal Copenhagen: Welcome to the 152nd Tablescape Thursday!

Earlier in the spring, Cornelia had a ladies breakfast in her beautiful home in Switzerland.  

It was near Easter and she created a gorgeous table setting for the event.

Cornelia said, "I had an Invitation this morning.   I invited 5 ladies for breakfast and had a Royal Copenhagen, Musselmalet tablescape. "

The Easter Bunny's Magic Compass: Welcome to the 139th Tablescape Thursday!

With Easter only a few days away, I couldn't resist bringing out all the bunnies for a little Easter table setting. It was a beautiful day here and I almost put this table out on the porch but it ended up here in the breakfast room, instead.






Chrysanthemums make for a great springtime centerpiece.



I tucked a sweet bunny down into the center. He's having so much fun leaping through the daisies.



A bunny container was just right for an Easter tablescape.



Do you remember these little guys? I used them as napkin rings in a previous Easter table setting, HERE. On this day, they surround the centerpiece and hold treats for the dinner guests.



I'm using my favorite spring-summer china, Ma Maison.



Napkins are folded in the shape of a bunny. I'm going to do my best to post a napkin fold tutorial for this fold by Saturday afternoon so you'll be able to use it for this Easter. A small pom pom works well for a fuzzy bunny tail. Update: Napkin tutorial for this fold can be found HERE or just click on the "Napkin Folds" category header at the top of BNOTP.



But I decided to use these little clip-on flowers, instead. I'll explain about that in the upcoming tutorial.



The napkins and place mats are the same as those in THIS tablescape with Debutante Camellias. They look completely different this time around, don't they? That's because they are reversible and I used the other side last time. I love how the pattern from the reverse side highlights the inside of the bunny's ears.





The china is by Tabletops Unlimited and the pattern is Ma Maison, which means "My Home."

Stemware is from Pier 1.



He's back. Monsieur Ecureuil raids my bird feeder every day and he occasionally shows up to watch when I'm setting the table in the breakfast room.

I found these cute eggs while antiquing recently and they captured my heart. They are monogrammed: E.B. Whose initials could those be? ;)

I'm using them as place card holders in this table setting. I just tucked the place card inside. I had originally planned to put the napkin through the large ring at the end of the chain. They would make great napkin rings, but for this table setting I chose to use the bunny napkin fold, instead.



These eggs are so much more than just cute little eggs. Shhhh, don't tell anyone but this is actually a Magic Easter-Egg Compass. Yep, that's right. {Whispers: You see, this is what the Easter Bunny uses to decide where he wants to hide the eggs for Easter.} :)



Have you ever wondered how
At the moment of sunrise,
The Easter Bunny quickly hides
Each Easter egg surprise.

He keeps a clever compass
Tucked inside his vest,
That helps him hide the Easter eggs
In places that are best.

Nestled in a tuft of grass,
Behind the potting shed,
Along beside the garden gate,
Or in the flower bed.

Down behind the willow tree
Where no one goes at all,
Or safely tucked between the stones
Beside the garden wall.

To our delight he does all this
Then hops along his way,
So we can find what he has brought
Each happy Easter Day.

I love all the bunnies in this tablescape. I believe I spy some beautiful Herend bunnies, too. Oh, and there's even a figural bunny napkin ring. Now this definitely says, SPRING!

Easter Tablescape! Welcome to the 33rd Tablescape Thursday!

A little Easter tablescape...hope you enjoy! :-)




Closed the shutters a bit...so we could enjoy the candlelight.

China is Ma Maison, designed by Dario Farrucci for Tabletops...bought it last summer at Home Goods...love that store!




A view of the dinner plate... Chargers are from Neiman Marcus or Horchow...forgot which. I saw them again recently on one of those sites, so they may still be available.




Napolean Bee Flatware is from Horchow or NM...bought it last year but it is still available, too.




The bees have landed on the glassware, too. The wine and tea glasses are made in France by La Rochere. In the past, I've only seen them available online or on eBay...and they were always a bit too pricey for me. A couple of weeks ago I found the wine glasses at Marshalls, for half of what I'd seen online on eBay. They also had the small water/tea glasses but they were a bit small. I looked again on eBay and found these 13.5 oz glasses at a price almost as good as Marshalls. Do you see the little bees that encircle the glass?




Close-up of one of the little bees...hope you can see him...glassware is a little tricky to photograph. La Rochere is known for making glassware that is especially clear...has to do with the "ingredients" they use to make the glass. I love the way all the colors of the tablescape created a rainbow effect. :-)




The wine glasses are filled with colorful excelsior and candy-covered, almond eggs, as well as these swirly lollipops. Each lollipop has a little candy critter :-) attached under the bow...this one is an egg.

Every Easter tablescape needs a bunny! :-)




I found this little egg tree a couple of years back at Marshalls. Replaced all the eggs this year...the old ones were beginning to crack. The top looked bare, so I made the bow with some ribbon I found at Big Lots last year...then I just intertwined the ends of the ribbon down through the tree.
