Tablescaping in the Conservatory with Royal Copenhagen, Blue Flower... Welcome to the 87th Tablescape Thursday!

Tablescape Thursday:
I'm soooo happy to be sharing another gorgeous tablescape today with you that's coming all the way from Switzerland! Dear Cornelia graciously agreed to invite us into another one of the wonderful rooms in her beautiful home. Today we will be dining in the conservatory! I love saying that word...conservatory. I've always LOVED conservatories but I've become slightly obsessed with them since seeing Bunny William's conservatory in her book, An Affair with a House.

If you are a little obsessed over conservatories like me, there's a great book listed under my Favorite Decorating Books widget on my sidebar. I believe it's called, Conservatories...I do remember that word is in the title. It's a great book filled with lots of pics of lovely conservatories. An Affair with a House is listed there, too. Warning: Once you see Bunny's conservatory, you will become obsessed, too! Don't say I didn't warn you. :-)

Cornelia, thank you so much for bringing us into your home this week to see this lovely tablescape in your conservatory. Notice the stunning candlelier...is it not amazing??? I have a little close-up of it to share a little further down.



Cornelia told me the table and the chairs are, Empire. I love their warmth and patina...just beautiful!


The rug is a very old Kasak from the Caucassus.


I adore a blue and white tablescape! Cornelia told me the china is from Royal Copenhagen, Blue Flower, curved and a few pieces of Blue Flower, plain.


The Cutlery is silver, made by Jezler (Switzerland), the pattern is called Centenaire.


The napkins are antique and the tablecloth is Swiss from Leinenhaus Berne. There is just something so special about monogrammed linens...absolutely love 'em!

The vase is by Augarten/Vienna...it's so perfect with the china. :-)


The flowers are Lenten Roses from Cornelia's garden. Love their gorgeous color! This so has me longing for a spring garden tour.





What a beautiful, silver serving piece! Johanna believes these are pastry tongs...gorgeous!

This looks like a cranberry server...love the patina...just beautiful!


The candlesticks are by Royal Copenhagen.








The teapot is silver and also made by Jezler.


The sugar bowl is by Jezler; the pattern is called, Rose.








Cornelia told me, "The chandelier is Dutch and antique. Please note that there is no electricity, only candles." I've never seen an antique chandelier like this that was designed for candles. I've only seen reproductions...so it's a delight to see the real thing!





Cornelia, thank-you so much for inviting us into your lovely home! It is such a treat! I am forever amazed and grateful for the opportunities blogging provides. Sitting right here in the comfort of our homes, we can travel all the way to Switzerland and enjoy a beautiful tablescape in a wonderful conservatory, while surrounded by rare treasures and antiques. Beautiful Nymphenburg Tablescape! Welcome to the 86th Tablescape Thursday!

Hi Everyone! Hope you've had a wonderful Wednesday! When I attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, we used to have Wonderful Wednesday every week. On Wednesdays, there were no classes! We were supposed to spend the time studying or attending special lectures, but in truth, most of us slept in and caught up on school work...or goofed off! :-)

Follow-up to Bottle Tree Post Yesterday:
Yesterday, I asked for suggestions on ways to obtain pretty colorful bottles to make a bottle tree for the garden...and you guys came up with lots of recommendations/suggestions. :-) If you are interested in making your own bottle tree, be sure to scroll down to yesterday's post and read the comments. Tablescape Thursday:
Any blogger will tell you, one of the very best parts about blogging is meeting dear hearts like you...kindred spirits who share a passion for creating a beautiful table setting that not only nourishes the body, but the heart and soul, as well. Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Cornelia who lives in Switzerland! Is Blogland not the most fabulous place?! If not for blogging, I would never have met Cornelia who has generously opened up her beautiful home so that I might share it with you for this Tablescape Thursday.


Step right through these doors into Cornelia's beautiful dining room...




I can't take my eyes off her stunningly gorgeous chandelier! You know I've got chandeliers on the brain lately. ;-)




Cornelia told me, "The china is all by Nymphenburg and hand painted."




The beautiful sterling silver candlesticks are from Mexico.




I love this wonderful tablecloth! Cornelia said it and the matching napkins are Swiss embroidery from the 1950's.




Her stemware is all hand-cut crystal made in the former German Democratic Republic.




If you look closely, you'll notice each dish has a different flower on it. :-) Love that!




The dinner plates Cornelia used for this tablescape are silver plated and are from Robbe and Berking. They are so perfect with the other sterling pieces which include her flatware, candlesticks, a basket and Hors’d’oeuvre dish.




Beautiful!




Cornelia's sterling flatware is Chantilly by Gorham.




Her centerpiece makes my heart skip a little beat! :-)




Cornelia used a gorgeous Meissen vase for her floral arrangement of tulips. Isn't it about the most beautiful vase you have ever seen?!




A view from one end...




I know you are dying to hear about the beautiful furniture in Cornelia's dining room. Cornelia told me, "The table and the chairs are Biedermeier, from around 1820.




The chest is Swiss Baroque from around 1770.




And, the cupboard is Louis Philippe (about 1830 – 1850). The rug is an antique Bochara (caucausus).

Easter Tablescape... Welcome to the 84th Tablescape Thursday!

Tonight I'm delighted to share a beautiful Easter tablescape created by my good friend, Pinky. The candles are all lit...come right on in and have a seat...



Pinky created a centerpiece using beautiful faux tulips. She elevated them using a lovely cake plate...great idea for when you would like a little height in your centerpiece.


The centerpiece is surround by a darling feather wreath...


Every Easter tablescape needs a sweet bunny!


Sooo cute...love their floral necklaces...


Pinky didn't miss a single detail...do you see the place card holders? :-)


Beaded Easter egg napkin rings tie in beautifully with the tablecloth and napkins.


Love the salt and pepper shaker!


Tulips on the sugar and creamer work beautifully with the tulip centerpiece...


What a cute bowl...I can think of so many uses for this piece!




How would this table setting look with a few little changes and a change in the tablecloth? Want to see? :-)

Love the woven chargers and polka dot plates. I couldn't pick a favorite...I love it both ways!


I think Pinky should use one tablescape for Easter dinner and the other one for Easter supper...they are both absolutely beautiful!
