Pink Saturday and A New Tablescape Thursday Button

Here it is! What better day to share the new Tablescape Thursday button than on Pink Saturday, hosted by our gracious host, Beverly, at How Sweet the Sound. Be sure to stop by Beverly's to see all the other Pink Saturday posts!

Recently, I e-mailed a photo of a table setting to Shelia, whose wonderful blog is Note Songs; and she created this beautiful pink Tablescape Thursday logo! Thank you, Shelia! I LOVE it! :-) This little button is very similar to the Tablescape Tuesday logo...I just moved the napkin so you can now see the gardenia in the center of the china. :-) This china is by International and the pattern is Glenwood. Homer Laughlin, also, made this same pattern.




You may recall, we moved our tablescaping day from Tuesday to Thursday after a poll I had running in my sidebar indicated most folks would prefer this change.

If you aren't familiar with Tablescape Thursday, each Thursday, participants post a tablescape on their blog. It can be a single place setting, a bistro table set for two or a full blown dinner table for a party of six or more...what ever tickles your fancy. Have fun with it!

I will be using Mr. Linky for this event each week. Mr. Linky will be available here by 10:00 P.M on Wednesday evening. (Mr. Linky is a tool that allows you to sign up for an event.)

It's super easy to sign up via Mr. Linky. Whenever you want to participate in a Tablescape Thursday, stop by here on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning and add your link to Mr. Linky by following these simple steps:

After you have "published" your Tablescape Thursday post to your blog, stop by this blog and put your name and the permalink to your tablescape post into the Mr. Linky's sign up box.

What is a permalink? A permalink is the direct link to your post, as opposed to your general blog address. If someone visits Between Naps on the Porch days later and clicks on your link, they will be taken directly to your tablescape post instead of having to search through your most recent posts to find it.

There are two ways to get your permalink. One way is to click on the title of your Tablescape Thursday post, then right click on the URL address showing in the address field at the top. Then paste this link into Mr. Linky which will be available here. Click on "Enter" and you are all done! You will see your permalink posted. :-) Or, another way to add your link for Mr. Linky is to right click on the title of your Tablescape Thursday post, select "copy shortcut" and then paste this link into the URL box on the Mr. Linky sign-up.

Don't forget to copy and paste the pink Tablescape Thursday logo from this post or from my side bar to your computer. Then just add it to your sidebar to let others know you participate in Tablescape Thursday, from time to time. It's also fun to use the TT button in your actual post on Tablescape Thursday to grab your "Followers" attention that you have posted a tablescape that day.

Several folks have asked how to get the Pink TT button to their post. Just upload the code you will find below the TT button on my sidebar, to your sidebar as a gadget. It's easy...here's how: Go to your dashboard, click on "Layout," click on "Add a Gadget," and choose "HTML" from the list. Copy and paste the code that you'll find underneath the Tablescape Thursday button posted on my sidebar, hit "Save" and you should see the TT button on your sidebar. This let's folks know you are participating and provides you an easy one-click way to visit BNOTP whenever you like.
