You know how I'm always talking about "playing in the dishes?" Well, the last few days I REALLY played in the dishes. Is it wrong to have this much fun? :-) Hope you enjoy these five very different, mini-tablescapes...all displayed on the same silver tray.

Valentine's Day Tablescape: Welcome to the 24th Tablescape Thursday!

Ok, I know it's really the first Tablescape Thursday...but I didn't want to start the count over just because our tablescaping day moved two days down the week. :-) Thank-you Shelia at Note Songs for making this beautiful TT button!

I'll be sharing a Valentine's Tablescape today and I'd love to know where you think it looks best...the breakfast room or the dining room.  I put together a little Valentine's table to share today. I couldn't decide if I wanted this tablescape in my breakfast room or dining room...so I'm showing it to you in both. I'll let you decide where it looks best.

First...the breakfast room...




The crystal candle holders were a gift I received almost 20 years ago. The center piece was crocheted by my Mom over 50 years ago.




I actually did some baking for this tablescape...so for once the plates aren't empty! :-) I've been wanting to try a new Wilton "heart shaped" baking dish. It worked like a charm...the little heart cakes came out very easily. Michaels has the Wilton heart pans...saw them while shopping in there recently.




I filled them with raspberry preserves...




I used my Lenox, Butler's Pantry, Gourmet as a charger. The dinner plate is vintage Tower by Spode. The red salad plates are plates I bought last summer at Home Goods.




Found these little pearl napkin rings several months ago at Old Time Pottery for $1.00 each.




Do you remember a while back when I showed you this pic of the pantry of designer, Bunny Williams? I found this pic in her wonderful book, An Affair with a House. I was awestruck by how organized it was and I also noticed she had lots of candles by Colonial Candle. Well, if Bunny Williams uses Colonial Candle...I just had to try them, too.




The pretty red candles used in this Valentine tablescape are by Colonial Candle.








Tea glasses are Araglin by Waterford. The Crimson Hock wine glasses are also by Waterford.




When I bought these little cranberry salt cellars a few years back, I knew they would be great for Christmas...I forgot about the other "red" holiday. :-) They look right at home with the Crimson Hock goblets.

Now, the same tablescape...but this time in the dining room and the table is set with six place settings, instead of four...glad I made six cakes. :-)
