Beach Front Condo Renovation, Part II: Welcome to the 138th Metamorphosis Monday!

Suzy and her hubby purchased a small beach-front condo and completely renovated it from top to bottom.  I shared the Before and After of the entry hall (with bunk beds) and the living room/sitting/dining area in THIS post.  Today, we're touring the Kitchen, Master Bedroom and Bath.  Prepare to be delighted!

Here's how the kitchen looked prior to the renovation...very dated.

AFTER:  All the rooms received new paint, laminate wood flooring, and new ceiling fans.

Wow!  Such a wonderful renovation of the kitchen with painted cabinets, new appliances and a gorgeous backsplash.

The colors are absolutely perfect for a beach house.

So cute!

This beach home has one bath and it received a make-over, too.
Bath Before:

Before:

More Before:  Sink in bathroom

Now for the After:  Suzy bought a ready-made shower curtain from HomeGoods and a friend monogrammed it for a custom look.

The tub/shower surround were resurfaced.  It went from dull and drab to clean and shiny white.

Suzy removed a small closet to make room for a washer and dryer.  New cabinetry, lighting and a sink complete this bath renovation.  Suzy found a magnetic towel rod and it works beautifully attached to the side of the dryer.  Brilliant!

Master Bedroom:
The Master Bedroom got a full makeover, too.  Take a look at the Before.

Suzy said the louvered closet doors were covered with years of grime and dirt.

And here's the fabulous After:

Suzy made the box-pleated bed skirt out of the same fabric used for the upholstered headboard.

Dresser side of room...again, this room received a fresh coat of paint, too.

The louvered closet doors were replaced with folding paneled doors...much better!

A few close-ups...lovely fabrics!

Suzy made the bolster pillow...love the way she covered the button!

Details like the decorative cording on the headboard and pillows make this room feel truly special.  Even small spaces can feel grand with the addition of just a few special touches!

Beautiful window treatment!

Suzy captured this gorgeous view during the blue hour.

If you are participating in Metamorphosis Monday you will need to link up the permalink to your MM post and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then just copy and paste the address that shows up in the address bar at the top of your blog, into the "url" box for InLinkz.

If you'd like to include the MM button in your post, just copy and paste the Met Monday button to your computer or grab the html code from underneath the MM logo under the "Join a Blog Party" header at the top of this blog.

In order to link up, you'll need to include a link in your MM post back to the host blog, Between Naps on the Porch so your regular readers will be able to find the Met Monday party which ensures your friends and fellow bloggers will receive lots of visits, too.

PLEASE DO NOT type in all caps...it spreads the links waaaay out. Thanks!

Let's try something fun today! Please visit the person who linked before you and after you...that way everyone will get some visits. Hope you'll visit more, of course.

Welcome! Thanks for coming to the party!

  39. Hi everyone. To say that I am deeply touched and appreciative of your many comments about our little beach place is an understatement! I've tried to express my thanks to Susan, but just don't have words enough.

@Kellie who was inquiring about the brand of washer/dryer - I think they are Whirlpool. We purchased them from Lowes who delivered and set them up for free. We had to remove the door frame to get them into the bathroom though!

  40. I loved seeing her beach house. Gosh, I would LOVE a beach house. *sigh....she really did a wonderful job.

    Thanks for coming by..
I am sure whatever way you cook beans is just a good (and probably much better) than mine. Mom cooked her's on top of the stove for many years but, in later life, she used the crock pot..that is just easier for me, too.
