Sharing a Christmas Home Tour

I'm sharing a few pics from the tour I went on today. I wasn't able to take pics in most of the homes, but a couple of homes did allow some photography. Please excuse angles and some less-than-focused pics. I had to take pics quickly as people were moving constantly all around the rooms and into and out of my shots. I have too many pics to show in one post...but here's a few...just for fun. :)

I WANT a white picket fence~~~SIGH~~~

Love this magnolia swag...

Back porch decorated beautifully...

This was on the back porch above...

On a backyard picnic table...

On a front porch...

Hope you enjoyed coming along for part of the tour. Click HERE to see pics from another beautiful home I had the opportunity to tour and photograph last Christmas. :)

See you tomorrow night for our Deck the Halls Linky Party. Come join in and share some of the "metamorphosis" your home is going through for the holidays.

Beautiful! I love all the fresh greens, we're going for our tree tomorrow and I'll be getting some to decorate with. Was it raining? We're on our town's house tour next weekend and that is my biggest fear, that it's going to rain and be a sloppy mess in the house. I'm crossing everything it stays dry!

I hope you'll share more pics from the tour!

Thank you for taking the time to post this! Gorgeous stuff! I really love the ornament hanging from the pot rack.

I love all of these ideas! The backyard table looks fabulous. I think I will do that this year as we spend lots of time in the backyard by the pool at this time of year and I always forget to make it look festive.

Best wishes,
Natasha.

Michelle, It was drizzling (is that a word) a little bit for the moonlight tour...but it didn't deter us. We just pulled out the umbrellas for the short period it was lightly raining. Most of the time we were inside, so it didn't really matter too much. In one house, we did have to wear those "thingies" over our shoes to protect the rugs.

Thanks for sharing, you took some great pics today! Real evergreen everywhere...what says the holidays more than fresh greens? I once hosted a holiday Home Tour and had almost 400 people go through my home in 3 hours. It's quite an experience, but so much fun. Happy Holidays! :)

Wonderful....thanks so much for sharing those Susan. I wish I could find holiday home tours in New Jersey. The only one I knew of was cancelled for this year. Beautiful ideas...thanks again.

I particularly like the magnolia swag, and the last pic makes me want to go take my daughter's Victorian doll house out of our warehouse. Thank you for sharing the tour with us. Cherry Kay

Susan, thanks for taking us along. You are great to share these outings through your photos. I absolutely love the shelves of Christmas books. I have all of mine out on a table in my office, deciding which ones I want to share for FFT this month. Thanks for your visit to my Nutshell Library post. Pick one of your books and share it next Saturday! ~ Sarah

I haven't been feeling well and felt WORSE because I had to miss our favorite Christmas-time Housewalk of large, historical homes in a nearby town this weekend. Your post kind of made up for it! I liked EVERYTHING you pictured here...The children's room was particularly interesting (I LOVE books)!

Nothing beats the live greens, in my opinion. I thought the picnic table with greens & white candles was sweet, as was the wagon on the porch.

Susan, thanks for sharing! I love such unique and beautiful decorations. And I particularly love the fact that the house isn't a huge mansion....just a sweet "regular" home!

Thanks for taking us along, Susan...they don't do Christmas home tours up here very often...too much snow & yuck to drag in, I fear. We got several inches overnight.

I love the ornaments hanging from the pot rack...beautifully done with all the different levels.

I am going to look for a gorgeous frame to put Ms. C's artwork into instead of just the magnets on the fridge...that idea is just wonderful!!!

Love the burlap lined, greenery-filled wagon, too. I WANT ONE!

This was a wonderful post. I sure hope the sun comes out so I can get some nice photos today & I can join in your party tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. I look forward to seeing more! I went on a home tour yesterday and plan to post on it soon. I was lucky because all of the homeowners allowed pictures and the tour was not crowded.

I love Christmas homes tours -- went on one this week as well -- in two of the homes, the trees featured tinsel!!!! Couldn't take pictures (and I understand) but oh, since it is to get ideas for the attendees, it's a shame that we can't!

I loved all of your pictures and you did capture some great decorating ideas!

Susan,
WoW. . .so many wonderful sights, where to begin? The red screen door blew me away! ! ! The mirror on the mantle was gorgeous and those children's books, what an idea. I've used children's books on the coffee table or the music stand, this was over~the~top adorable! If you liked the ornaments hanging from the pot rack, you'll like my chandelier this week! See you soon! I'm so excited to be joining your Deck The Halls Party!
Fondly,
Pat

Very nice, thanks for sharing! It's always fun to see what other people come up with for decorating. I like the frame idea for the childrens pictures. It would work for many other ideas too as in just daily notes etc. Too bad you weren't allowed more pictures!

Thanks for sharing these pictures! The home tours must have been amazing. I love the picture of the mailbox and the bedroom with shelves of Christmas story books. I'm in love with the red screen door surrounded by greenery! I wish I had a screen door like that for my back porch!!

Okay, so the wagon is so cute. I would have to fill it with greenery however as live plants would never make it here in Kansas. Thanks for sharing the tour.

Well, girl, you scooped me! I went on this tour yesterday, too, and took photos very similar to yours. I'll pass on this post and I'll probably do one on the Alliance Theater's Christmas House instead. Wasn't it great? I thought the bungalows were just darling and showed so much creativity.
