It was time to say goodbye to this fall/winter scheme.

Hello, sunny days!
I bought this china 3-4 years ago right after I added on the porch which you can read about HERE. The white pitchers are from HomeGoods and Marshalls, several years ago. HomeGoods always carries a wonderful variety of white pitchers if you're looking for one.
I found the china at HomeGoods, too and I bought all they had, which was 6 place settings (plus one in case of breakage.) I lucked out and found some additional square "salad size" plates on eBay to use for dessert. This china is made by Tabletops Unlimited and was designed by Darrio Farrucci. The pattern is Ma Maison. I haven't seen it on eBay in years. They apparently didn't make very much of it which is a shame since it's such a cute pattern.
This large piece on top could be used as a cookie jar or cannister...
Creamer and sugar...
This large platter hangs year around on the wall above the hutch. I think the house is supposed to be a Tuscan villa since the name of the china is Ma Maison. I think that is Italian for "My Home" but it also means "My Home" in French. What do you think? Is this an Italian villa? This scene has all my favorite things: white picket fences, topiaries, birds, butterflies, and lot of pretty flowers. Don't we wish life was like this everyday? Now, if I could just walk right into this scene. ;)
You can view several tablescapes I've created with this china HERE, HERE and HERE.
I'm looking forward to having the warm weather here to stay. In the meantime, the hutch is ready. :)
Looking forward to seeing all the changes you've been making in your home!

To get your permalink, click on your post name, then just copy and paste the address that shows up in the address bar at the top, into the "url" box for the picture linky. You'll also need to put your e-mail address in, but don't worry, it will not be visible to anyone.
If you'd like to include the MM button in your post, just copy and paste the Met Monday button to your computer or grab the html code from underneath the MM logo under the "Join a Blog Party" header at the top of this blog.
Please include a link in your MM post back to the host blog, Between Naps on the Porch. Why is this important? Please DO NOT type in all caps...it spreads the links waaaay out. Thanks! :-)
Let's try something fun today! Please visit the person who linked before you and after you...that way everyone will get some visits. Hope you'll visit more, of course. :-)

Susan, the Ma Maison set is one of my very favorites in all of your collections... love seeing it here! I've linked my new blog to the MM -- thank you for hosting this!
ReplyDeleteYour hutch looks wonderful, Susan! Funny you mention the pitchers from Home Goods; I was just there the other day and almost bought a few milk/creamer pitchers. While they were white or cream colored the design details along the rim on each were just lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love your green hutch and your lovely plates that look so pretty against that perfect green!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you a bit for taking a break and enjoying the weather.
Mary

I adore the spring look on the hutch. I finally have a project to share on Met Monday again - it seems like it's been forever. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHello Susan! I love your dishes and the way they look in your hutch. To me they look more French, although I'm not an expert. I hope you'll keep my link on your post - it's not a clear before/after topic but the metamorphosis of the pussy willow through the snow seemed appropriate! Take care!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan love your blog. This is my first time participating in the Met. Monday party. Thank you for hosting. Your green cabinet and hutch are so pretty and cheerful it reminds me of spring.

Your porch certainly looks like spring!!! Little changes sure can make a difference -- I also love those plates -- I assume the "topiaries" are salt and pepper. (or did I miss that in your post?)
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful! And I absolutely love that china! You give me hope that spring could come at long last up here in the Northwest! And I am glad you got a break from the home office too!
ReplyDeleteGreat spring redo! Thanks for hosting, Susan!

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this party every week. I linked up last night, but couldn't leave a comment, because my little one was shouting, "I brushed my teeth, come snuggle with me." I don't know how many snuggling years he has left in him.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful update! I love those dishes. I know that Ma Maison is My House in french, I don't speak Italian so I can't help you with that. So very pretty! Love the canisters! I saw a similar set the other day at the antique mall, but hubs gave me the look when I picked one of them up. So very jealous of the weather you've been having! I'm soooo ready for spring, here. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, Susan, I like the change you did on the hutch! It always amazes me what a difference a few simple changes can make. We're still in the snow so no screened porch updates here! Have a great week!

I love the green cupboard on your porch. Is that a second hand find that you refinished? I have this great wrap-a-porch and really need to fix it up this spring. Looking through all of your archives to get some great ideas. Hope you don't mind!

Of course, I just adore your pretty hutch...always have! Loved the beautiful autumn vignette but it IS time for a change! The Ma Maison dishware really is a beautiful pattern and sooo perfect for that pretty hutch and porch! I love it! Thank you for sharing your spring designs with us for the MM party! I have been hooked on your blog for about 2 years now, never having commented until now. It was the Ma Maison china that first caught my attention to your blog and the green on your hutch is one of my favorite colors. Your tablescapes are beautiful as well. Great job on your blog and thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I participated in Met Monday, but I wanted to see what you'd posted this week. Wow -- so many participants! Congratulations on the success and growth of MM.
Your hutch and pretty "Ma Maison" dishes look great! Your energy and creativity are truly inspiring!
Kindest regards,

What a pretty set!
ReplyDeleteMa maison = 'my house' in French
Casa mia = 'my house' in Italian
;)
Thanks, Anon. I was sort of hoping it was really Italian. lol I like to imagine it's an Italian villa. :)
