Inspiration Abounds in Blogland

There's so much inspiration to be found in Blogland! I hope you find these talented and creative folks as inspiring as I did.

Melissa at The Inspired Room completed a "Before and After" of her Dining Room that will knock your socks off. The draperies, the lantern...love it all! And wait until you see the Before...quite a change!

Would you love a craft/sewing table that looks very much like that expensive craft table we've all seen in our favorite store and catalog? Ana White will show you step by step (including plans) how to build your own! (Click "Next" at the bottom of this "drawer" plan to see the rest of the plan for the craft table. Ana breaks it down into different sections so it's easy to follow.)

Looking for an inexpensive way to corral your craft and gift wrapping ribbon? Spunky Junky has a great solution!

Tour the beautiful home of author, Emily Griffin at Things That Inspire.

Wondering what to do with those old shutters or louvered doors? Wait until you see what Cottage in the Oaks created.

Be still my beating heart! A Chintzlicious post from O C Cottage.

I'm in awe of the fence post toppers La Vie Quotidienne made for her fence. They are beyond fanciful and I just love them! Wait! Is that Alice I see coming down the path?

Have you ever thought about building your own patio? Sherry and John of Young House Love did and it turned out great! John explains exactly how over a series of step-by-step posts. It was hard work, but Wow, the results are beautiful!

Independence Day is just around the corner. We'll all be flying the colors soon! Richard shares the history of our beautiful flag at My Old Historic House.

Jules over at The Dragonfly on Iron Gate will show you how to make your own buggy-covered mesh domes. These would be perfect for a picnic, dining outside or your 4th of July party.

Love this post, Susan!

We have been very fortunate to meet Richard Cottrell in person and tour his home more than once(absolutely love it) and in fact shopped at his shop!:-) That is where I found my double bonnet secretary, after falling in love with yours!

Love the shutter idea for use beside our patio. J and I were talking about doing just that, the other evening. Just trying to figure out how we want to do it, without hiding our hydrangeas from the patio.

Susan, this has nothing to do with this post! :) I read your blog every day and would love to know where you got your "Summer Breeze" sign. We recently moved into a house that has a screened in porch and would love to have something like it. TIA!

NildaE,
I found my sign in a local antique shop, but I've had several folks asked me about it so I googled and found them online at the link below. I paid the same price as what's shown at this online store, too. I think the antique store probably bought it from this store because they look identical. You can order it in a bunch of different colors.
