The Beaufort House in Asheville!

A few weeks ago I traveled to Asheville, NC with friends to tour Biltmore. I'll be sharing some pics taken in the gardens around Biltmore in a future post. For this Pink Saturday, I wanted to share The Beaufort House...the lovely, historic, bed and breakfast where we stayed while on our trip. If you find yourself traveling to Asheville, I highly recommend The Beaufort House.

Most of the pics you'll see today were taken while I was staying there. I've also, pulled a few from their website. You may access The Beaufort House site by clicking HERE.

An evening view...from The Beaufort House website
See the room on the top floor at the end, the one with the arched window...that's where I slept...it's a huge room!

A daytime view...from The Beaufort House website

This is the view as you come up the driveway.

From the other side of the circular entrance...

It's nice out here on the porch...from The Beaufort House website

The house has a gorgeous banister and newel post...notice the beautiful stained glass partway up the stairway. (from The Beaufort House website)

A close-up...

A little hide away, look out spot on the stairway. :-)

Check out the renovated kitchen...isn't it amazing?! I love the red cabinets and those huge windows. (from The Beaufort House website)

Breakfast was wonderful...we felt totally spoiled and made some new friends.

Lovely antiques all throughout the home...

The grounds around The Beaufort House are beautifully landscaped....

From their gardens...perfect for Pink Saturday! :-)

Love the pergola!

Have you ever seen a swing built for two?

I love brick pathways in a garden.

Everywhere you looked, there was something to enjoy in the gardens.

Do you see Mr. Bee?

He was intent on his work.

A hungry bunny...

A perfect spot to nap after a day spent touring Biltmore...

We had a pink/white/grey Victorian house once, and I loved it. Ours was of a much, much smaller scale, however. This one is lovely. Thanks for bringing back memories of all of the great Victorian houses I have lived in and visited. Sally

What a beautiful home to stay in while at Ashville. I have been to Ashville dozens of times but have never seen this place. I bet you didn't want to leave there. I would not have. Can't wait to see your post of the Biltmore. Haven't been there in many years.

Hugs,

Susan, I loved your Pink Saturday post. My husband and I have an anniversary coming up and we love the Asheville area. He just told me he wanted us to plan a trip and I think you have helped me decide where I would like to go. We have stayed in the Grove Park Inn before and we have been wanting to go back for another tour of the Bildmore. I think your suggestion of the lovely B&B is an excellent idea. It would certainly be cooler in Aug. than it is here in N FL.

Enjoyed your post. I am off to see if I can get reservations.

What a beautiful place. I've been to the Biltmore but not the Beaufort House. Now, in N.C., they pronounce it "Bow-fort" as opposed to "Beuuu-fert" in S.C. Is that correct?

Another rainy and cloudy and dark weekend. I fear that summer is not coming to northern Michigan this year...sigh.

♥Thank you so much for participating this week because it made my day just a little brighter♥
