Happy 4th of July Weekend...hope your Independence Day was fabulous! I'm very excited to share some beautiful Eye Candy with you today, as well as a fabulous Give-a-Way!
Today, for our 25th Metamorphosis Monday, I'm sharing more delicious eye-candy. As I've shared some of the rooms in my home, you may have noticed all the tassels I have hanging from lamps and various pieces of furniture. As I was preparing this post, I realized I have a minimum of two tassels hanging in every room of my home! I do love me some tassels! :-)
Who can resist...they are the perfect finishing touch to any decor. A tassel does for a piece of furniture or lamp, what a pillow does for a chair or a lovely painting might do for a wall. They are lovely little works of art that add the perfect finishing touch to a sideboard, china cabinet, secretary, chest, lamp or armoire. Do you have lots of pretty tassels in your home? If so, where do you like to hang them? The possibilities are really endless, aren't they?!
Recently, I discovered a wonderful source for great, quality tassels. Angela, whose Etsy shoppe is The Tassel House, creates amazing tassels designed to go with any room or decorating style. Here's a small sampling of the treasures you will find on a visit to The Tassel House today.

And here's a sampling of the Christmas/Winter tassels...I love the one with the darling ice skates! :-)

As you can see, The Tassel House has an awesome selection. Angela is already busy creating wonderful tassels for the autumn season and the upcoming holidays. Every tassel you find at The Tassel House is hand-made by Angela, herself. She starts with a stack of beautiful, high quality ribbon...

and lots of lovely, rich trim. Do you see the darling birdhouse that will be the centerpiece for this metamorphosis? Angela took the ribbon you see above and the beautiful trim you see below...worked in a little of her amazing talent and magic...and...

...a wonderful metamorphosis took place! Beautiful!

See what I mean...little works of art!

I asked Angela where she gets her inspiration...Angela told me, "First, I ask myself if I am in the mood for whimsical, fun, rustic, elegant, etc?

"Then, I pick a ribbon, fringe, and/or top that I'm in the mood to play with. I pull in all of the materials that I think will coordinate well together...I may or may not actually use all of them. Before I get started, I never know how a tassel will look in the end. It evolves as I create it."

I just love this tassel that's currently for sale at The Tassel House.. Wouldn't this darling hen be fabulous hanging from a the knob of a breakfast hutch or from a lamp or cabinet pull in the kichen!

Awww..an adorable ladybug tassel...so whimsical!

Have you heard? Etsy is having a Christmas in July sale. Angela will be donating 10% of all the sales from her shoppe, The Tassel House, to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. Angela told me, "I believe that the idea of Christmas in July, should help promote the concept of giving throughout the year." I love Angela's generous and giving spirit.
A GIVE-A- WAY! Not only is Angela participating in Christmas in July, but she has generously offered to give away one of her beautiful tassels, a value up to $25! To be entered for this random drawing, stop by the The Tassel House by clicking HERE. Take a look at all the beautiful tassels, and pick the tassel of your choice (up to $25.) Then stop back by BNOTP and leave a comment here with the name of the tassel you would love to win. I will announce the winner a week from today, on our next Met Monday.
If the tassel you chose sells in the meantime, I'm sure Angela will be happy to make another one like it or similar. If that's not possible, the winner will be able to visit The Tassel House to select again. :-) The winner, chosen via a random number generator, will need to e-mail me at betweennapsontheporch@gmail.com with her address after the drawing. Ummm, I was just thinking, with Christmas just around the corner, wouldn't a tassel make a wonderful Christmas gift!
Looking forward to seeing the changes you've been working on for this Metamorphosis Monday!

Good Luck on the voting!
Great give away and beautiful tassels. I'll have to go pick one out.
Okay, back from looking and oohing and ahhing. I think it's got to be the Colorful Rooster for me (even though LBeau has declared "no more farm animals." I think I could sneak one more in.
Oh, she really does make some of the most gorgeous tassels. I love the little boy reading, but then I loved all of them. Thanks so much for sharing such a wonderful site for us to see. I have been voting for you and I do so sincerely hope you win. Good luck. Hugs, Marty
Hi Susan--This is my first time to take part in your Met.Monday, better late than never, right?
Your tassels are absolutely gorgeous! I visited Angela's shop and was hard pressed to pick just one tassel, but I LOVE:
Cutest Snowman Ever Tassel!
Thanks for letting me join in all the fun! I'm off to do a little blog hopping now...
Those tassels are AWESOME~!! The one I love best of all is the Fabulous Frenchie Tassel. Because she has PINK in her dress (tassel) and is just THE tassel for a Pink Princess like me, lol. Would love to win it ♥♥
Hugs from Marian
I absolutely love the Met Monday! I was trying to thing of a good change to post, so I hope you like the story of my entryway over the past 2 years.
I loved reading about the thought process behind Angela's work!
Susan - Your tassels are just fantastic. I have a few but none as lovely as those. I need to get busy and try some. I am sorry for the date on my post to Met Monday. I wrote it earlier and saved it to post because I was going out of town and thought I would do it today when I returned home. I was totally wrong and it showed the date it was written rather than the date I published it. I need more lessons on this whole blog thing.
Thanks for all you share with us.
Charla
Hello Susan! I'm excited to join in on this week's Met Monday - thank you for being such a lovely host. And what a lovely giveaway! Her turquoise bird tassel is fabulous.

I very much liked the tassel with the rooster on it, my grandmother has a collection of roosters in her kitchen and it reminds me of her.

Susan, I'm new to your blog and I'm hooked! You are such an inspiration and all the other sites are truly a joy to read.
I love the tassel of the little boy reading a book. I am an elementary school teacher and have always loved books!
I have two boys and they both love reading as well. My youngest son will be a senior in high school and has begun all the senior activities. We are also helping him search for the "right" college for his studies. This past month, my oldest son was married to the love of his life. The wedding was magical and my new daughter-in-law is wonderful. After all the summer festivities and excitement, I'm afraid that I have a bit of the "empty nest" syndrome.
This little tassel would be a great way to remember the days of yesteryear.
Good luck at Blog Luxe! You've got my vote(s)!
I would love to win the red toile duck tassel! beautiful! I love this giveaway!
I love those tassels! I will check out her store, maybe there is something there for me.

The Tassels are gorgous-my favorite : the rustic tassel! Please enter me in to your wonderful drawing.
Susan, another great post! I find myself checking your blog several times a day just to see if a new post is up. I'm addicted to your blog! All the tassels are fabulous! Love the red, white, and blue patriotic tassel shown above on your post, but didn't see it in Angela's gallery. The Here Comes Autumn is my favorite one in her gallery. I've made a tassel, and it is not an easy endeavor. Angela is a very talented lady! Thanks for sharing this resource.

Susan, I love your site. The tassels are all great, but since I cannot resist anything to do with birds or nests, I will pick Coral Bird. Thanks so much, Cyndy
Those tassels are too cute! I love the Snazzy Reindeer Girl with Chocolate Tassel. Hey, Christmas is less than 6 months away :)
I totally love the little boy reading tassel -- and your blog --especially Met Mondays. I've been looking since about week 12. One of these days I'll have a metamorphosis of my own -- I just bought a new home in a new city.
I'm casting a vote for you:)
Vail in MS
Happy to say I just voted!!
Love the tassels!
I tend to be a Christmas traditionalist so I would probably choose the Traditional Santa Claus, but it was tough, they are all beautiful.
OK...Put my name in the hat for the 'OOO La La' tassel!
Thanks for hosting Susan!

Hi Susan, I have just voted for the first time....I check in everyday to see your eye candy! Keep it coming! I am a neighbor of yours being in Woodstock...I have seen and been to several of the places you have shown on your blog. I too am a tassel-lover...I love the "snowman family", although I love them all. I love tassels, and am needing some as my home was partially destroyed in the May 08 tornado that hit our area....we are slowly putting our little humpty dumpty house and yard put back together again!! Love to you, Kathi
Great post today; the tassels are beautiful. I am with you maybe a fall or holiday tassel would be just the right one.
Have a great day.
Blossom
The tassels are just beautiful. Thank you for the chance to be the proud owner of one. I love them all, but I think I would pick the Angel of Love tassel as a top favorite.
Thanks again and God bless.
Love going through the participants every Monday. Thanks for offering such a fun post.
Love your post about the tassel's. Oh my, this could be dangerous. I think I need to head on over to The Tassel House. Those tassel's are fabulous!!!
Carolyn/A Southerners Notebook
She must have already sold many before I went over to shop this morning. As many you showed were already gone! Good for her.
Brenda
Off to vote in a second here. I love coming to your blog for tabletop ideas. Sometimes it's just to soak in some elegant beauty but usually for ideas. You are an awesome source for table tops!! As for tassels - I agree - you just can't have enough. I don't have 2-3 per room yet but I'm 2 bathrooms & a kitchen shy of having one in every room. Angela's, though, are great fun and every one I looked at I thought "OH I could give that to.." I'd love to win the Noah's Ark tassel although that one is over the $25 limit so I'd probably choose the furry winter bird tassel. He just makes me want to snuggle in with a warm blanket!!
Hi, Susan! I was looking at these tassels yesterday. So many beautiful choices -- I love the wine tassel which happens to be on sale. woo hoo! Please enter me into your giveaway.
Also, good luck with your blog award. I voted for you!
Thanks for your insights on my dining room dilemma.
Love, LOVE tassels!! Any one with a bird or rooster!
What is the problem with the Luxe vote, everytime I go there to vote it tells me I have already voted in the last 30 minuets!! To come back in 30 to try again? This just started happening the last few days. COME ON PEOPLE, VOTE, VOTE!!!! Mary Ann
Hi Susan, I like the Cowgirl Boot Tassel of course, however, all of them are great! I don't have my MM listed yet...little behind today! Going to vote now! Have a wonderful MM! Luanne

Thanks, Linda
I am such a bad blogger. I forgot to leave my comment here for you.
Those tassels are so unique and pretty. I am sure every room in the house would benefit from having at least one in it.
Thanks for hosting again. This is a fun meme.
Ohhh, I love them all! My favorites, however, are the rooster and Frenchie! They are all so pretty and very unusual.
Susan, the tassels are gorgeous! Way to go on the eye candy! Woohoo! Linda
You got my vote! Love your site--you are such an inspiration for those of us who are too timid to "just do it"--I'm beginning to realize it can always be changed if it "ain't" right. The Blue Bird Tassel is adorable. CJ
Oh dear...deciding on the tassel...I like two of them...Little Girl would be perfect for my Sunshine's room...but Big Whimsy is gorgeous! I'll pay the difference!!!!
Looking at these tassels opens up a whole new field for me -- I never saw such creative ones! So interesting. I visited the Etsy site -- like the Chrysanthemum tassel. Well, like them all, but am especially fond of that one.
Interesting post! Very cool.
:-)
Cass

I enjoyed your tassel entry.. I visited Angela's ETSY shop. There are many nice ones. And compared to the ones I sell in my shop, she has a nice price point.
The tassels are beautiful and very reasonably priced. I love the Snazzy Reindeer Girl with Chocolate Tassel. I know I could find the perfect spot for it during the holidays!
I wondered why I wasn't getting many comments this week so I checked and I'd messed up my link at number 43, so I resubmitted a corrected link at number 81. Please remove the incorrect one if you can; I don't want to confuse your readers! I'll have to be more careful, won't I!
Oh my gosh, your pictures are always SO gorgeous! It's a treat to come over and visit your blog.
:0)

I love the fluffy petite tassel (of course it was hard to choose.)
Love your blog too. So much inspiration.
I have only two very plain tassels. I do like the ones you've shown; they look like so much fun.
It would not surprise anyone to discover that I liked the blue bird tassel. The colors fit best in my home, and that is my Monday meme symbol.
Susan~ ~ ~What a lovely post and so nice of you to always be promoting others on your blog. A little helping hand is always appreciated. I love our blogging community for the kindness and generosity of everyone involved and they are just so darned creative and talented!
My vote for favorite will have to go to the Red Toile Duck. I would love them all but. . .he will look great in my diningroom.
Fondly~ ~ ~Ahrisha~ ~ ~
Thank you, Susan for the wonderful post about the tassels. I love them! My favorite is the Formal Tulip. I'll be visiting her again come Christmas.
Hello, Susan. I decided not to say which tassel I like best (since I can tell many of your readers REALLY want to win!).
I feel as if I've already "won" by having your encouragement and guidance in getting my blog off the ground.
Thanks for the sweet comment on my "Delta Dawn" post. Glad you enjoyed it.

Beautiful!
I think the dove one is lovely.
Tina
Love, love, love the hanging frog tassle!
Pick just 1?
Being a fan of those creative tassels there are too many beauties to choose from. For my own home decor the acorn in shades of cream and brown would work best but oh so many other pretties to choose from.
I love your blog and these tassels are gorgeous especially with your photography! The Traditional Santa Claus Tassel is sweet and would be lovely at Christmas!
~Nancy
What fun! I love your blog, and I am loving the Snazzy Reindeer Girl tassel!
Oh, Susan, those tassels are all just darling! Please enter me in your drawing. I love the "Just a Hangin' Frog Tassel." Thanks for the shot to win this cute prize!

Can you play if you don't have a blog or a linky? I would love to be considered for the Autumn Harvest pumpkin tassel. Thanks.
Devon (kcflick@aol.com)
I'm completely mesmerized by this blog...especially the porch! I don't know why I never checked you out before. But I know what I'll be doing for the next few hours...
Susan, I loved the tassels. My favorite are the Chocolate Santa Tassell, and Ladybug Tassell.
Moets Champagne Cork Tassel
has stolen my heart! Oh I would love that one. You always make me smile I love visiting your blog. Thank you for your kind words about my husband. He is recovering well and since his attack was mild, we don't anticipate another one as long as he sticks to his diet and medication.
My favorite tassle is Fabulous Frenchie
Angela's tassels are so pretty :-) I hadn't realized how creative and unique tassels can be until I came across Angela's blog and her Etsy shop :-)
My very favourite tassel made by Angela is actually the one she made for us to give away on our blog. It's purple and silver and we named it Fleur de Glam. I didn't want to part with it, but I had to send it off to its new home in Australia. So my choice for a tassel would be Fleur de Glam Take 2 :-) I also really like Just A Hangin' Frog :-)
Kelly
I love either the Traditional Santa or the Snazzy Reindeer Girl with chocolate. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I would definitely have to pick out a tassel if I win...there are way too many beautiful ones to choose from...she's so talented!! Thanks for the great give-a-way!!
Oh, if I get lucky and my name is chosen, I'd LOVE to have the colorful rooster tassel! He would look just devine on my corner cabinet in my colorful rooster filled kitchen!!! Thanks for the chance to win!!
Angela's tassels are lovely works of art. The one I choose is Furry Winter Bird.
Susan, I finally had time to come back to take a closer look. I adore that Lady Bug tassel that would be so cute in my porch - LOL. ~ Robyn
Oh how I would LOVE that blue bird tassel. We're totally obsessed with blue birds. We have a pair of blue birds that have already had babies twice this summer in our blue bird house. They must really like the worms we give them!
All is layered so beautifully - and I really like the napkin rings!
Hi Susan,
Well back from the beach and trying to catch up..wow you miss alot in a week with no computer.
I love the tassles. I'd love the big acorn one as fall/autumn is my absolute fave time of the year.
thanks tammy
Oh wow! All these tassels are amazing! Since I am a cake decorator, my heart went immediately to the "Giant Cupcake" tassel!

I love the "Dove Tassle", it would be gorgeous on my bedroom hutch.
Thanks for hosting this give-a-way!

All of those tassels are just gorgeous! My favorite would have to be "Red Toile Duck!" They are all very pretty though. Thanks for the chance of a give-away! I'm excited.
My favorite is the CIJ Sale - Chocolate. They're all really beautiful. Thanks for linking up with this great shop!
Wow!! What great tassels. My favorite is the Baby's first Christmas tassel. We are expecting in 3 weeks and this would be perfect for our new addition. Awesome blog and I hope you win best eye candy, you have my vote!!!!

What a wonderful thing she is doing. My little sister is fighting breast cancer at this time!
My favorite tassel would be the blue and brown bird tassel. The one with the flowers painted on the birdie. Beautiful.
She does lovely work...very creative!

I've never seen anything quite like this before! My favorite is the Top Hat Snowman Tassel. Sooo adorable!
Susan, I just love all of the tassels that Angela has made. She sure has talent. I take one of each, he he. It is so hard to choose one.
My first choice would be the Red Toile Duck. If that one is gone then the Brown Autum Tassel - if that one is one then the Colorful Roster. As pretty as they all are I sure she will sell out soon.
By the way, just love your Blog, and your home. I am in sunporch envy - I had to show my husband yours and he liked it to.
